Delayed November Events
Sorry these suggestions are late!!! Sometimes it takes me awhile to muster the motivation to link to all the websites. I”m lazy like that. And now…November Events!!
November 4 – 22 – A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Wyly Theater – Various Prices – WEBSITE
Blake and I saw this play the other night, and it was amazing! I realize that you might be thinking, “isn’t that a Shakespeare play?” And yes, it is. BUT, the play is amazingly high energy, fun, and most importantly – easy to understand (my main issue with Shakespeare. I can’t help it. I’m dumb.) If you are looking to make a night of it, try out Stephen Pyle’s new restaurant Samar, on Ross Avenue. The restaurant serves their food tapas style, and the menu is divided into Spanish, Indian, and Middle Eastern food. And it is DELICIOUS. And also, not nearly as expensive as you would think. TRY IT!
November 16 – Desserts Everyone Loves – Central Market $55 – WEBSITE
I don’t think this needs an explanation. Its right there in the title.
November 20 – The Men’s Tie – Make Studio $45 – WEBSITE
Another event in the Bishop’s Art District. Make Studio offers classes on how to do pretty much everything, but this one grabbed my attention this month. Blake should probably be expecting some (probably poorly made) ties in the near future.
November 21 – 2nd Annual Jingle Bash – Sons of Hermann Hall – WEBSITE
Now, as seen in my recent post, I just opened up a little etsy store, which I am way too invested in (I spend a serious amount of time refreshing the page to see if new people looked at it…I am a dork like that.) This Jingle Bash is sort of like a way cool craft fair for dallas etsy sellers, and I am very excited to check it out. I love craft fairs! They appeal to the grandma in me.
November 26 – The Turkey Trot – Downtown Dallas – $22.99 – WEBSITE
I like this race because no matter how much you eat on Thanksgiving, its hard to feel like to much of a slothy slug fatty knowing that you just ran 8 miles earlier in the morning.
November 30 – Around The World Cookie Swap – Viking Cooking School – $89 – WEBSITE
Again, I don’t know that this necessarily needs a description, but in case you do, I will do it in the most abbreviated way possible – Cookies. Eat. Yum.
